From November 22 to December 1, 2024, the Belgian Economic Mission to Brazil, led by Princess Astrid, held an intense business agenda with the participation of over 150 companies aiming to strengthen and develop their relationships with our country.

Our CEO, Patricia Carcanholo, and the Head of Innovation and Secretary of the CSAC at ACS, Leonardo Renales, attended meetings, visits, lectures, and panels. These events featured extensive networking opportunities and the presentation of high-quality content.
On Monday, November 25, an event in São Paulo included panels on topics such as healthcare and agribusiness.
Discussions on universal access to quality healthcare, innovation, and sustainability in the sector featured major companies like GSK, UCB, and IBA, along with public officials and prestigious institutions such as the Butantan Institute, represented by Dr. Esper Kallás. Participants explored challenges, trends, and especially opportunities for improvement in the field.
The mission's agenda also included a visit to the PWC AgTech Innovation Hub, a cutting-edge technological development center for the agricultural industry, located in the Piracicaba Technology Park, less than two hours from São Paulo.
The Belgian mission left a significant mark through its dedication to building a more prosperous and equitable future for all. Additionally, the charm of its participants stood out, including the iconic Belgian ambassadors: the Smurfs.
